Keyboard shortcuts

Last updated: October 24, 2026

What it does

Use keyboard shortcuts and search to move around Lucrii without the mouse. Press ? anywhere in the app, outside a text field, to open Keyboard Shortcuts. It lists the shortcuts that work on the page you are on. The window shows ⌘ on a Mac, and Ctrl on Windows and Linux. This page writes Cmd for both.

This Page comes first, then Go To, then General. This Page lists a key only while its button is on the page.

KeyWhat it selectsIts label
EEdit on a record page
J and KThe down and up arrows in a record’s headerNext record and Previous record
CA list’s create button, such as Create QuoteCreate on a list page
Cmd+SSave on a form, or Create on a create pageSave a form
EscCancel on a formCancel a form

Go To opens a list. Press G, then the second key within 1 second.

KeysWhat they open
G then IThe Inbox
G then SSales Orders, or Invoices if your organisation sells services only
G then QQuotes
G then PPurchase Orders
G then CContacts
G then VInventory Items
G then LInventory Locations
G then TTasks
G then BWork Boards

General works on every page.

  • Cmd+K opens search. It reads Search and commands.
  • ? opens Keyboard Shortcuts.
  • Cmd+B shows or hides the sidebar. It reads Toggle sidebar.

Cmd+K opens the same search as the Ask Hermes button at the top right of every page. Asking Hermes describes the button. Type two or more characters to search contacts, orders, inventory items, tasks and inventory locations at once. Orders covers quotes, sales orders and purchase orders. After a short pause, each kind with a match shows under its own heading, up to 5 of each. Select one to open it.

ResultWhat it shows
ContactIts name, with Organisation or Person
OrderIts number, its customer or vendor and its type
ItemIts title and SKU
TaskIts number and title
LocationIts name

The search also lists these groups.

  • Create lists New Sales Order, New Quote, New Purchase Order, New Contact, New Item, New Location, New Task and New Work Board. Each opens the form for that record.
  • Quests holds Browse quests, which opens your Quest Chart.
  • Navigation lists Sales Orders, Quotes, Purchase Orders, Contacts, Inventory, Locations, Tasks and Work Boards, with the Go To keys beside each.
  • Settings lists Profile, Organisation, Members, Teams, Taxes and Units.
  • Help lists the help pages for the page you are on, each as Help and the page’s title. Keyboard Shortcuts comes last.
  • If your organisation sells services only, Create and Navigation say New Invoice and Invoices in place of New Sales Order and Sales Orders.

The Help button is the question mark beside Ask Hermes. It opens a menu.

  • Help for This Page lists the help pages for the page you are on.
  • Keyboard Shortcuts opens the list of shortcuts.
  • All Help Pages opens the list of every help page.
  • Each help page opens on lucrii.io in a new tab. A page with no help page of its own shows only Keyboard Shortcuts and All Help Pages.

Before you start

  • A key without Cmd does nothing while you type in a field, or while a window or menu is open. Cmd+K, Cmd+B and Cmd+S also work from a field.
  • A key whose button is unavailable does nothing, such as Cmd+S on a form with no changes.
  • Search finds only what you can open.
  • New Work Board shows only when your role lets you create a work board.
  • Once you reach your plan’s limit for sales orders, quotes, purchase orders, contacts or items, that entry in Create is unavailable. Locations, tasks and work boards have no plan limit.
  • Quests shows only while your organisation’s quests setting is not Off.

How to use it

  1. Press Cmd+K, or select Ask Hermes.
  2. Type part of an order number or a name.
  3. Use the arrow keys to move to a result, then press Enter to open it.
  4. Press ? outside a text field to see every shortcut for the page.
  5. Press Esc to close either window.

Troubleshooting

A shortcut does nothing. The cursor is in a field, or a window or menu is open. Select an empty part of the page, or close the window, then press it again.

A shortcut is missing from Keyboard Shortcuts. Its button is not on this page. A cancelled order has no Edit button. Keyboard Shortcuts doesn’t list E there.

A heading is missing from the results. Nothing of that kind matched, or Lucrii could not search it.
