Connecting an AI agent over MCP

What it does

MCP is the protocol an AI client speaks to reach your Lucrii data. The MCP page gives the one server address every client points at, along with the list of clients currently connected.

Connecting is a sign-in followed by a consent screen. The client sends you to Lucrii, where you pick the organisation to connect. The screen then lists the permissions the client needs, and you approve or deny. Access begins only once you approve.

Each row under Connections gives the person who connected, the client that connected, the permissions they granted and when it was last used. Revoking a row cuts that client off at once.

Before you start

The MCP page is under Organisation for administrators and owners. Nobody else sees it, and nobody sees it inside a demo organisation, whatever their role.

Revoking a client cuts off its access at once. It has to connect again from scratch to get access back.

How to use it

  1. Open Settings, then Organisation, then MCP.
  2. Copy the server address with the button beside it. The button shows Copied once the address is on your clipboard.
  3. In your client, add a custom MCP server and paste the address.
  4. Sign in when the client sends you to Lucrii, choose the organisation and approve the permissions.
  5. To cut a client off, find its row under Connections and select Revoke.

Connections lists the whole organisation, including rows connected by other people, with their name in the User column. Last used reads Never for a connection that has been approved but not used yet. A connection belongs to the person who made it, so two people using the same client each get their own row.

Troubleshooting

The page says Could not copy to clipboard. Your browser blocked the copy, so select the address and copy it yourself.

  • Browsing the App Store: The App Store lists every app your organisation can install, with a search box, a sort and an installed-only switch.
  • Managing an installed app: The installation page has an app’s own settings, its version and update, the prompts to reconnect, and the uninstall action.
