Verifying your email address
What it does
Signing up with a password sends a verification email. An account opened through Google arrives verified and never meets this screen. Until the address is confirmed, every page of the app sends you to Check your email. That screen shows the address the link went to. Under it are a Resend verification email button and a way to log out and start again on another address.
Opening the link confirms the address and shows Email Verified, then moves on to the app. A link that has expired shows Verification Failed, with Request New Link and Back to Login under it.
Before you start
A verification link lasts 24 hours. You can request another one up to ten times an hour, and the resend button counts down for 60 seconds after each send.
The verification screen appears only when you are logged in. Opening it with an address that is already confirmed sends you back to the app.
How to use it
- Open the email Lucrii sent and select the link inside it.
- Where the email has not arrived, check the spam folder, then select Resend verification email.
- To use a different address, select the log out action at the foot of the page and sign up again.
Troubleshooting
If the link says it has already been used but you did not open it, something else opened it first. This is often a scanner in your email provider, and your address still counts as verified.
