Browsing the App Store
Who can do this: administrators and owners.
What it does
The App Store is the catalogue of apps you can add to your organisation. Each card shows the app’s icon, name, developer, star rating and price. An installed app is marked, and one running behind the current version says so on the card.
Search matches an app by name and by description. The sort offers Popular, Highest Rated, Newest and A-Z. The View installed only switch drops the list to the apps your organisation already has.
Before you start
App Store is under Organisation for administrators and owners. Nobody else sees it, and nobody sees it inside a demo organisation, whatever their role.
How to use it
- Open Settings, then Organisation, then App Store.
- Type into the search box. The list follows what you type after a short pause, and there is no button to press.
- Change the sort to Popular, Highest Rated, Newest or A-Z.
- Turn on View installed only to see what you already have. Search and sort still apply, and if nothing you have installed matches, the list shows empty instead of falling back to the full catalogue.
- Select a card to open that app’s listing.
Twenty-four apps show per page, with a way to move to the next page for the rest. The installed view has no extra pages, since it always shows every app you have installed at once.
Troubleshooting
An installed app can be missing its catalogue details. When that happens, the page says so above the cards instead of leaving the app out without a word.
