Views and the team inbox

Last Updated: September 30, 2026

What it does

My Inbox is the work that concerns you: what you own, what you watch and what is unassigned in a team you belong to. My Teams Inbox is the wider view of everything assigned to your teams, whoever on the team has it. The tab you are on is part of the address of the page, so a link to your team’s inbox opens on that tab for whoever you send it to.

Above the list are two chips. All is everything the tab returns. Unread narrows it to the rows with an update you have not read.

Before you start

My Teams Inbox is empty for anyone who belongs to no team.

An unread update keeps an order or task in the list even where it would otherwise have dropped out, so a change to a closed order still shows up.

How to use it

  1. Select My Inbox or My Teams Inbox. Switching tabs keeps your sort, your search and the unread filter, and starts the list again from the top. Each tab is a different list, and a position in one means nothing in the other.
  2. Select Unread to cut the list down to what has changed, and All to put it back.
  3. Open a row to read it. It leaves the Unread list once the update is marked as seen.
  • The inbox: One list of the orders and tasks you are working on, with a dot against anything that has changed since you last looked.
  • The Hermes inbox summary: A short briefing from Hermes above the inbox, written for the time of day and refreshed on demand.
  • Quotes, sales orders and purchase orders: Quotes, sales orders and purchase orders each have a tabbed list with its own figures and status views.
