Managing an installed app

Who can do this: administrators and owners.

What it does

Once an app is installed, the install button on its listing becomes a Manage menu with Open Application, Uninstall, and an update entry for the version on offer. Open Application goes to the installation page.

The installation page is where you set up an app and look after it. The heading shows the app’s status, the version you are running, when it was installed and who publishes it. Under the heading are the app’s own settings, its changelog and a danger zone.

A card appears above them when the app needs you. Reconnect required means the connection to the outside service is short of a permission the app needs, or the connection itself is gone. The card says which, and it lists the missing permissions where that is the cause. Connection issue means Lucrii paused or switched off the app after repeated failures, and it offers Reconnect now or Turn back on.

Before you start

Every control on this page is for administrators and owners. A lesser role sees only the heading and the changelog, and cannot connect, reconnect or disconnect the app.

Uninstalling removes the app and everything it kept. It cannot be undone, and it stops the app keeping anything up to date.

How to use it

  1. Open the app from the App Store and select Manage, or open it from the installed view.
  2. Select Open Application.
  3. Set the app up in the Connector Settings card. The controls there belong to the app, so they differ from one app to the next. This card only shows for an app that has its own settings page. An app without one is set up entirely outside Lucrii.
  4. Select the update button in the heading when a version is offered. Where that version needs permissions you have not granted, the consent screen opens first.
  5. To remove the app, select Uninstall Integration in the danger zone and confirm.

Troubleshooting

A reconnect card can list nothing missing. That means the access this app had expired or was taken away at the other service, not a Lucrii setting. Select Reconnect to sign in again.

  • Installing an app: An app’s listing page describes what the app does and installs it behind a consent screen listing the permissions it needs.
  • Browsing the App Store: The App Store lists every app your organisation can install, with a search box, a sort and an installed-only switch.
  • Xero: The Xero connector pushes sales orders, purchase orders and quotes into a Xero organisation and reflects Xero payments back into Lucrii.
  • Stripe: The Stripe connector issues a Stripe invoice for a sales order, puts a Pay Now link in the PDF and records the payment when the customer pays.
