Work boards and tasks

What it does

The area has a tab at each end of the same work. Work Boards lists the kanban boards in your organisation, with the board title, the team that owns it and whether it is that team’s default. Tasks lists the tasks themselves, with the task number, title, parent record, priority, team, assignee and due date.

Each tab opens on a saved view and offers others above the table. Work Boards has All and My Teams Work Boards. Tasks has Open, which covers assigned, in progress and on hold, then Assigned, In Progress, On Hold and Completed on their own.

Selecting two or more tasks on the Tasks tab raises a bar at the foot of the screen for changing their status or priority together, or taking them off a board.

Before you start

Create Board appears for a team leader and above, and for anyone who manages at least one team. Create Task is for everyone.

How to use it

  1. Open Work Boards from the sidebar.
  2. Select Work Boards or Tasks to move between the two lists.
  3. Select a view above the table to narrow it, and search or sort from the table’s own controls.
  4. Select a row to open that board or task.
  5. Select the create button at the top right to start one of whichever the tab is showing.

The bulk bar needs two selected tasks - selecting only one leaves it hidden.

Troubleshooting

If Lucrii cannot read the teams you belong to, My Teams Work Boards says so above the table.

  • Creating a work board: A work board takes a title, a description and the team it belongs to, and that team decides who may rearrange it afterwards.
  • Creating and editing a task: A task takes a title, description, due date, priority, board placement, reference and parent record, and the same form edits it later.
  • Columns and cards: A board is columns of cards, added, renamed, mapped to a status, sorted, cleared, collapsed and reordered, with tasks dragged between them.
  • Assignees, watchers and status: A task page sets who the work belongs to, who follows it, and drives it from assigned through in progress, on hold and completed.
