Notes and media on items and locations

What it does

Below the cards on an item and on a location is its timeline. You write notes into it. Lucrii adds entries of its own, among them the note a saved stock adjustment produces.

A note is written in the same rich-text editor used elsewhere in Lucrii, with mentions of your colleagues and files attached to it.

An item page also has a Media card of its own, above the timeline, which takes pictures and files dropped onto it or chosen through Add files.

Before you start

Notes on an item and on a location are for staff only. There is no public and private switch here, since an item has nobody outside your organisation to send a note to.

How to use it

Write into the box at the top of the timeline.
Use the paperclip to attach a file, and type an at sign to mention someone.
Select Post to add it to the timeline.
On an item, drop pictures onto the Media card above the timeline, or choose them through Add files.

Older notes load as you reach the end of the timeline. Your own note can be edited or deleted from the controls on it.

The Media card is on the item page only. The item form has none while you are creating or editing. The paperclip on the timeline attaches a file to that one note, not to the item.

Troubleshooting

If the timeline cannot be checked, it says so instead of showing as empty.

Adjusting stock: The Inventory card shows an item’s quantity at each location and opens the window that moves it up or down outside an order.
Editing and deleting an item: Edit reopens the item form, and More Actions holds the audit history and the trash.
Stock locations: Locations are the places you keep stock, each with an address of its own and stats for what is held there.
Items and locations: Inventory is two lists, one of the items you buy and sell and one of the locations you keep them in.
