Units of measure

What it does

Units lists every unit of measure with the singular name, the plural name, and who created and last changed it. Create Unit opens a form with Name (Singular) and Name (Plural), such as box and boxes, or hour and hours.

Selecting a row opens the unit, where Edit changes it and More Actions offers View audit history and Delete.

Before you start

Reading the list is open to everyone. Creating, editing or deleting a unit needs administrator or above, and those buttons do not show below that role.

How to use it

  1. Open Settings, then Units under Organisation.
  2. Select Create Unit.
  3. Enter the singular name.
  4. Enter the plural name.
  5. Select Create.

Both names are asked for because a quantity of one and a quantity of many are written differently wherever the unit appears.

Deleting a unit asks you to confirm first, and you can open its audit history from More Actions.

An MCP client can create, update and delete units the same way this page does.

  • Taxes: Taxes are the rates an order charges, each with a name and a percentage.
  • General organisation settings: Name, logo, currency, country, timezone, business type, email signature, the two consent switches and the quests setting for the organisation.
  • Audit history on a record: A record’s audit page is the dated list of what was changed on it, by whom, with the value before and after each change.
