Orders is where you price work, send it out and collect what you are owed. A
quote prices an offer to a customer, who accepts it or turns it down. A sales
order is work you owe a customer, which you fulfil and take payment against. A
purchase order is what you have ordered from a vendor and receive into a
location. On each record you build the line items, email the document, record
the payments and refunds, and read the timeline of what has happened to it.
