--- title: Contact locations description: "An organisation contact lists the sites it trades from, each with its own address, status and linked people." lastUpdated: 2026-09-30 order: 40 --- ## What it does A Locations card appears on an organisation contact, listing the sites that company trades from, such as branches and depots. Create Location opens a form with a Name, a Reference, a Description, an Email, a Phone, a Status of Active or Archived, and its own billing and shipping addresses. A location's own page repeats those details and adds a Linked Contacts card. Add Contact searches your contacts and links one to the site, with a shortcut to create a missing person in a new tab. Selecting linked rows offers Unlink Contacts. The location page has its own notes timeline as well. The header of a location offers Edit, and a More Actions menu with View audit history and Trash. Back on the contact, selecting rows in the Locations card offers Delete Locations for several at once. ## Before you start Deleting one or several locations asks for confirmation first and cannot be undone. A contact location is different from a stock location, and the two are numbered separately. An MCP client asked for a contact location id here refuses a stock location id in its place. ## How to use it 1. Open an organisation contact and find the Locations card. 2. Select Create Location. 3. Give the site a name and an address, and leave the status as Active. 4. Select Create. 5. On the location's page, select Add Contact and link the people who work there. The Locations card is only on an organisation contact, since a person has no sites of its own.
