## What it does

Create Contact opens a form that starts as a person and changes shape when you switch Contact Type to Organisation. Where a person takes First Name and Last Name, an organisation takes Company Name and Reference. Both take a picture, an Email, a Phone and a Default Currency, which is left as Same as organisation unless you set one.

The panel on the right differs with the type as well. A person there is given a Company to search for by name, and an organisation is given a Primary Contact to search for among your people. Where the record is missing, select Create new organisation under Company or Create new contact under Primary Contact. A short contact form opens over the page with the name you typed filled in. Select Create to save the record and pick it.

Billing Address and Shipping Address sit beneath. Shipping can be marked the same as billing, and a person attached to a company can take that company's billing address instead of typing one.

## Before you start

On the free plan, your organisation can have 25 contacts. You can add 2 more past that limit. After that, the Create button turns off, with a tooltip that says to upgrade your plan to continue. A banner above the list warns you as you get close. The Early Access plan has no contact limit.

If a person borrows their company's address, that address is copied when you pick the company. Changing the company's address later does not update theirs.

Leaving the page with unsaved changes asks you to confirm first.

## How to use it

1. Open Contacts and select Create Contact.
2. Choose Person or Organisation in Contact Type.
3. Fill in the names, the email and the phone.
4. Search for the company, or the primary contact, in the panel on the right.
5. Enter the addresses, or tick the boxes that borrow them, and select Create.

Hermes creates a contact for you from a sentence, and an MCP client does the same through the create tool.
